How can we find a missing student abroad with government support?

Missing Indian Student Abroad Found Safe with Government Support

An Indian student who went to study abroad went missing for three days and was not reachable. His parents, in stressful situations, approached the government of India. The government took the local support and traced the student, who was found safe.

In cases like these, if there had been any misconduct by government personnel, the parents could have filed a complaint against public authorities or raised grievances of public authorities. For transparency, they could also have lodged an Indian public authorities complaint. The Directorate of Public Grievances plays a crucial role in strengthening the machinery for redressal of public grievance and ensuring accountability.

If they felt dissatisfied with the resolution or the handling of the case, they might have used RTI matters to inquire about the steps taken by the authorities.
